Saxon Lifts was formed on 24th November 1988 by three qualified Directors, with experience in Sales, Design and Production respectively, together with a small number of key personnel, to form a nucleus of staff with the energy and commitment to succeed.

From the start a professional approach was taken in terms of marketing, design, manufacture and record keeping, from premises at Long Buckby, Northamptonshire.

Saxon is Sales driven, setting agreed targets, which generally have been achieved or bettered.

Saxon is now operating the European headquarters from a new larger manufacturing site which the company has purchased at Whilton Locks, Northamptonshire, UK.

Saxon has consolidated its current product range into the following main areas;
(1) Design
(2) Manufacture
(3) Install and commission a comprehensive range of standard scissor lifts from 500kg – 40,000kg capacity, that can be specified utilizing 150 coded option enhancement features to provide a solution for most applications, which include people, motor, heavy goods vehicles, cargo, chemical, food industries etc

Global Engineering:
From inception, Saxon has won orders and contracts from blue chip customers, in the European and Asian markets, all of which have been brought to successful conclusions.

The company's reputation has largely been built on the design and manufacture of be-spoke equipment to meet specific requirements.

During this period Saxon has expanded to its present staff of over 40 personnel, continually increasing its experience in the design, manufacture and installation of complex lifting and handling solutions.

The knowledge gained has now been built upon to the extent that Saxon is now recognized as a leading authority in the field of Global Engineering and able to operate anywhere in the world.

In a new venture, Saxon Engineering Limited was formed in Hong Kong during 2002 in response to the increasing demand for our products and services in the wider South East Asia region.

Since its inception Saxon Engineering has won major contracts to supply Latest Technology equipment to the governments of Hong Kong, South Korea and Malaysia, in addition to supplying Saxon Lifts products to the general market place. This new venture is managed by experienced ex-Saxon Lifts staff placed with Saxon Engineering on a permanent basis.
